The Deacons are responsible for assisting the Pastor with Communion services and cooperate with the Pastor in the work of the Church and the care of its people, being especially mindful of newcomers and of those in want or in trouble, or in special need of spiritual guidance.
Rada Cutlery
DIACONATE FUND RAISER: The Diaconate will again be selling Rada Cutlery this pre-Christmas season. A table is set up in Fellowship Hall today to display some of the new items and the latest catalogue. Besides cutlery, Rada also offers cookbooks, stoneware, quick-mixes for dips, breads and soups. Christmas Card Trees
As in past years, the deacons will have two Christmas greeting trees available in the Narthex and Fellowship Hall. Beginning Sunday, December 2nd, stop by and sign a card of greeting to your friends and fellow Pilgrim Church members. The cards are displayed on the tree throughout the Christmas Season and your greetings will be listed in the bulletin each Sunday. Donations to the Deacon’s Fund, which is used to provide fellowship opportunities for the church family and to help those in need, are greatly appreciated at this time. It is suggested that you donate what you would spend on cards and stamps to mail your Christmas greetings to Pilgrim Church members.
